20+ years of hands-on IT and cybersecurity experience. Owner-operated. On every account, every call, every escalation. Based in Stamford, CT — serving businesses across Connecticut and New York.
I founded Moore Technology Consulting because I kept seeing the same problem: businesses paying for managed IT that was, in practice, reactive IT. A ticket queue. A dispatcher. A different technician every time. No one who actually knew the environment. No one accountable when something went wrong.
I believed — and still believe — that small and midsize businesses deserve the same quality of IT support that large enterprises have access to. Not a scaled-down, lower-tier version of it. The real thing: proactive monitoring, genuine security coverage, compliance awareness, and an engineer who shows up when something matters.
Moore Technology Consulting was built around a simple model: the owner on every account. I know my clients' environments. I know their teams. I know what they've been through, what they're worried about, and what it will take to make their technology actually work for them — not against them.
After 20+ years in IT and cybersecurity, working across enterprise deployments, compliance-regulated industries, and everything in between, I decided to build the MSP I always wished existed for the businesses I was serving. That is Moore Technology Consulting.
We recommend what makes sense for your business — not what creates the biggest invoice. Our goal is a long-term relationship built on trust, not a sales cycle that resets every year.

After two decades in this industry, I have a clear point of view on what makes IT support actually work — and what makes it fail. The failures are almost always structural: wrong incentives, wrong accountability model, wrong relationship between the provider and the client.
The right model is simple: be proactive, be honest, be accountable, and treat every client's environment like it's your own business on the line. That is the entire philosophy.
The cost of prevention is always lower than the cost of recovery. Monitoring, patching, and hardening before things break is the entire job.
If something in your environment is a serious risk, you need to hear it directly — not softened into a recommendation you can safely ignore.
Security controls are most effective when they are part of how the environment is managed — not an add-on that gets deployed after a breach.
The best IT outcomes come from working with the same team over years — not switching providers every time a cheaper option comes along.
Every consultation is with Eugene Moore directly — not a sales rep. If we're a good fit, you'll work with me from the first call through the life of the engagement.
